Joining the
Men's Garden Club of Minneapolis

The Men's Garden Club of Minneapolis welcomes new member applications. You need to have a genuine interest in any aspect of gardening and a willingness to actively participate in Club activities. You can be of any gender and live anywhere in the greater Twin Cities Metropolitan area.

You will need a current member to be your sponsor. If you don't know a current member, e-mail Membership Secretary Sharla Aaseng and she will arrange with the Hospitality Committee to connect you with a sponsor. If you think finding a sponsor is tough to do, in the early days of the MGCM potential member's gardens were inspected by a special committee. If the garden didn't measure up to the exacting standards, the applicant was rejected and asked to try again when his garden was up to standards. We don't inspect gardens any more. We hope people join MGCM both to share what they already know about gardening and to learn much more about it.
